Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions. - Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. US author and physician (1809-1894)

Why FabVocab?

Before I answer that for you, can you please take a moment and tell me if you agree with any of the following statements?
  • In daily life, I come across terms that others seem to know well already, but I am only guessing their meanings. I feel like I am lagging behind, I start losing my confidence.
  • I admire people who use new, unique and cool words in their speech. I think they sound very stylish!
  • Many times, I don't know the right words to describe something, so I can't express myself effectively enough.
  • I would love to address a big group in English, but my weak language skills make me nervous and hold me back.
  • I understand English well when I am reading or listening, but I become unsure of my words when I talk.
  • I feel that some of my friends and relatives are better off in life because they have such great command over the English language.
  • I think impeccable English is an essential skill to have these days, it gives you a good standing in professional and social life.
  • I speak excellent English myself, and I am proud of it, because I know it  makes a huge difference in my interactions with others, and how they perceive me.
If you found yourself saying 'yes' to more than 3 statements above, then you are probably convinced that English is an indispensable skill to have.

The reason why many of us are not confident of our English skills is the kind of attention English received in our childhood. Many of us studied in schools and colleges where the medium of instruction was a regional language. Even more of us belong to families where English was not and still is not spoken frequently at home. And still more of us hardly read any English books/ novels/ newspapers etc.

Since our exposure to the English language was so limited, we learnt very basic things, and our grammatical and pronunciation errors were not detected and corrected. We grew up with what we knew, picking up new words here and there, often not knowing what exactly they meant or when to use them.

We definitely don't want our children to end up the same way as us when they grow up. Instead, we want our kids to speak clearly, correctly and sensibly. We wish that they become confident people and have loads of opportunities waiting for them. Above all, we wish that they grow up to have smart and impressive personalities.

This is where FabVocab steps in. It fulfils the need for that extra attention and provides a boost to children who do not have sufficient exposure to correct English. Choose FabVocab if you do not have the time or technical ability to help your children master the MOST SPOKEN LANGUAGE OF THE WORLD (second only to Mandarin)!
